How to delete a hosting account?
Maybe you moved your website somewhere else or maybe you don’t need a website anymore at all. Whatever the case may be, you want to delete your hosting account at InfinityFree.
Delete your hosting account
It is not possible to immediately delete a hosting account with InfinityFree. However, inactive hosting accounts are automatically removed after some time.
For legal reasons, InfinityFree cannot delete accounts earlier under any circumstances. Please do not submit support requests to delete an account, because they will not be honored.
The first step to have an account deleted is to remove all domain names from the account.
- Login to your client area.
- Click the account you want to deactivate.
- Click the Control Panel button.
- In the control panel, go through the Addon Domains, Parked Domains and Subdomains sections and delete all domains listed there.
When all domain names have been removed from your account, all you have to do is wait for the account to be deleted.
After approximately 60 days, the account will be deactivated. A few days after that, the account will be deleted entirely. This ensures you have plenty of time to download any content currently on the account for backups.
Please note that only active accounts will be deleted for inactivity. Accounts which have been suspended are not deleted automatically. If your account was suspended because of abuse, it cannot be deleted on request either.
Deleting your main InfinityFree account
If you really don’t want to host anything with InfinityFree anymore, you can also deactivate your main client area account.
First of all, you will need to make sure you don’t have any accounts anymore. All your hosting accounts must be fully deleted before you can deactivate your profile.
If all your accounts have been deleted, you can deactivate your client area account. To do so:
- Go to Profile in your client area.
- Scroll down to Delete Profile.
- Confirm your password and click the Delete Profile button.
