How to add your own domain to your account
While a free subdomain is a great way to get started, a website looks a lot more professional with a custom domain name. Fortunately, you can register your own domain name with an external company (like NameSilo) and use it on InfinityFree.
There are multiple ways you can add the domain name as an account. You can create it as a new account or add it to an existing account.
Before you start: point the domain name to InfinityFree nameservers
Before you can add the domain name to your account, you need to verify it by settings the nameservers of the domain. The nameservers you can use are: - ns1.byet.org - ns2.byet.org - ns3.byet.org - ns4.byet.org - ns5.byet.org
Don't forget it can take a few hours (up to 72 hours) for the nameserver changes to be visible due to DNS propagation.
You can read more about how to set your own nameservers here.
Add the domain to an existing account
You can also add a domain name to an account which already exist (and was created using another domain name or a free subdomain).
You can add the domain name as a Alias Domain (Parked Domain) or Addon Domain. The Alias Domain section allows you to attach the domain name to an existing website, the Addon Domain section allows you to create a new website for the domain (or upload an existing website). For both domain types, the process is the same.
To add the domain, you need to find the Addon Domain or Alias Domain section in your control panel, enter your own domain name in the field and click Add Domain.
After adding the domain: wait for DNS propagation
After adding the domain name to your account, the domain name will not work immediately. The nameservers are configured immediately with the new settings, however it can take a few hours (again, up to 72 hours) for the website to start working everywhere.
